Child Protection Refresher Course


This is a refresher course for those who have previously completed Nationally Recognised training such as CHCPRT001 or CHCPRT002. 


This course is also suitable for those who are not required to undertake accredited training but are required to be aware of indicators of abuse or neglect and how to respond.


This is not a nationally recognised course.


Upon completion you will be able to download your certificate. Learners can start, leave, and return the course as many times as they need and can save their answers as they go.

Refresher Training Explained

Is this course right for you? We recommend this course for:

  • Those who have previously completed Nationally Recognised training such as CHCPRT001 or CHCPRT002 (such as responsible persons, nominated supervisors or mandatory reporters in some states)

or 


  • Those who are not required to undertake accredited training but are required to be aware of indicators of abuse or neglect and how to respond.

Refrehser training designed to assist the participant in demonstrating up-to-date knowledge of the laws and their obligations to meet the requirements of regulation 84.


A refresher training course does not necessarily have a course code or provide any formal accreditation. 


Refresher training is relevant to demonstrate compliance with Reg 84 and Quality Area 2.


Regulation 84 Awareness of child protection law 

The approved provider of an education and care service must ensure that nominated supervisors and staff members at the service who work with children are advised of— 

  1. (a) the existence and application of the current child protection law; and 
  2. (b) any obligations that they may have under that law.
